How To - Pre-authorisation


  1. Save the account as required on the POS.

  2. Select the fixed PED (in the below example it is "PED1 local")



  3. The POS will display the following screen whilst you complete the operation on the PED.



  4. Insert the card into the Lane 3000.


  5. The customer should now enter their PIN.


  6. The PED will display the following screen whilst the pre auth is verified:


  7. Once the pre auth is approved the PED will display the next screen (at this point no further action is required on the POS, and the account is now saved and the card details stored).


  8. If the card is removed too early the pre auth will then be cancelled and the below will be displayed on the POS:


    9. Pre-auth is not currently supported on the Move 5000 roaming PEDs.
